Welcome!!

Welcome to our Clash of Clans game blog page. Many of us have been a team for 2, or more, years. Though  several of us are from the US, we are an international clan with friends in England, India, etc. The clan tries to balance out a war-focus but still be relaxed enough to have fun. We have players across the age span and townhall levels, so please be respectful to everyone.

This blogspot has clan rules and resource lists to help members. If your interested, check us out!

Lethal Cloud Rules

1. We are an international clan, but ENGLISH SPEAKING. You are welcome to provide us a translation so that we can understand you, but we all need to be able to communicate and respond to you.

2. We war 2-3x weekly. This means that we do NOT start the next war immediately. Before each war, the Leader or a Co-Leader will send a clan mail stating when the next will begin. It is usually 24 hours after the last war ends between 7-9 EST.

3. Elder & Co are earned. Elder is given after the second war you are in. All promotions are done after the war day. Co is a mixture of several factors. Several factors include: donations, participating in challenge days, war performance, giving & taking advice (constructively), bring new resources to the clan, etc.

4. If you do not use both attacks, you will be either demoted or kicked depending on your status. Please opt in/out for wars. There are no exceptions for this rule. If you run into any problems such as network, unexpected responsibilities, forgetting the day... you will STILL be demoted or kicked. However you can earn your status back.

5. Before accepting members (unless you know them in real life), please check in with the leaders/co-leaders.  While we offer second chances, we will ban specific members or sometimes we're also looking for specific town hall levels.

6. No new members during war. The ONLY exception to this rule are in real life friends. This protects against sneaker players from opposing teams.

7. Just because you are opted in doesn't mean you'll be in war. War is chosen based on balancing out the bases & allowing everyone a chance. We have lower lvl wars for th8 and lower bases, as well as higher level wars. Please respect this. You can let us know that you've opted in and haven't been in a war in a while, but please don't badger co-leaders to start one or let you in a war.

8. Inactive members will also be kicked. This is determined by who has, or has not, logged in during the month.

 9. Have fun! We love being here, and we hope you love being here too.

Clan Etiquette

These are more like guidelines anyways....

In addition to clan rules, which lead to being kicked or demoted, there are also general clan etiquette expectations. The worse thing that will happen if you dismiss these are:

  1. Members being grumpy enough that they won't want to help you out: so possibly waiting longer for troops or other assistance
  2. Possibly being passed up on wars when you opt in (and we have too many people opted in) because we question whether you're a good contribution to wars.
  3. Constantly being lectured that you are unpleasant, critical, or downright mean to others

General Clan Chat Etiquette:

  1. No spamming. If the clan chat looks like an ode of your thoughts, be quiet and let someone else chat!
  2. Offensive language is offensive. Offensive is subjective. Do not be offensive to others, and recognize that some people might not know that what they're said offended you. If in question... ask.
  3. Donations. Oh, donation. We have a lot of people here. A lot of awesome & helpful people here. When not at war, please try to keep your donation requests open for all of those awesome people to help. If you are practicing out a war strategy, that's great! let us know so that we can set up practice bases just for you! That way, you can get the troops you need, not waste them, and get constructive feedback from clanmates. And, about constructive feedback....
  4. Use constructive feedback (i.e. advice over being rude/mean)
    • Constructive Feedback: information-specific, issue focused, and based on observations. It comes in two varieties: praise and criticism. These are both personal judgements about a performance effort or outcome. However, praise is a favorable judgement, and criticism in an unfavorable judgement.
    • Negative criticism: Disapproval of something, or disagreement with something- it emphasizes the downsides of something. Negative criticism is often interpreted as an attack against a problem.
If you struggle with these skills, please check here: Constructive Feedback

War Etiquette:

  1. Always request a clan castle with maxed troops for the clan. And be patient until it can be filled. Remember that our highest clan members have full-time jobs and, while they will be on, there are some hours of the day which they are less likely to be around. If you live in a different time zone, have a different schedule, etc. plan accordingly. Possibly request your troops ahead of time?
  2. Generally try to keep your war strength greater than your defensive strength (or equal). It will make you more of an asset to war in general: see the video under resources for more info
  3. Plan and have a specific strategy for your attacks. You want to attack bases who should be able to 3 star, without stopping your lower th members from acquiring stars.
  4.  Be smart about who you attack. Consider the strengths and weakness of your clan members. Just because someone is ranked above you, that does not mean they should attack higher than you. Some people are better at different attack styles and they should attack those bases instead. If someone ranked higher than you has weaker war troops, they should be attacking lower than you.
  5. Communicate with each other pre-war to decide the best attack strategy to win. Review the calling system within this blog!

War Claiming System

Hi guys! We've had some struggle for a while determining a good calling and claiming system.

6 Hour Waiting Game:
For the first 6 hours of war, claimed bases cannot be attacked until the person who claimed it, or is their mirror, gets in their first attack. After the first 6 hours, any base is free to attack.

Mirror
You may here a lot "attack your mirror." And, depending on the war, that's all you might have to do! If the war is balanced, the first 6 hours are reserved for mirror attacks. Your mirror is the same number as you on the enemy team. With balanced wars, we're not worried about the claim system, and it's a lot less frustration organizing everyone.

However, if the war is unbalanced, the claiming system is below....

CHECK BEFORE YOU ATTACK
Please be respectful of other people's claims. If you are consistently attacking claimed bases, we may pass on your opt in, or avoid giving you troops until other attacks are in.

How do you know it's claimed?
War bases will be claimed in the war donation section.

Both of these are examples of claimed bases.

TH 8+ War Claiming
Once we get up to th8 + it's not really a great idea to claim bases before we can see the layout. So, slight caveat to this war claiming system... At th8 + look at townhall bases to compare their defensive strength versus your offensive strength. Have an idea of which ones you may be able to attack, and talk to your clan mates, but do not claim a base until the war day reveal.

Once the war day starts, communicate with others in the chat to finalize who you're attacking.

Appropriate bases to claim:
The highest base you can three star. This needs to be based on your actual troop strength and war skills. This may be your mirror, 1 below, etc.

Your claim should take into account your entire clan's abilities too. We aim for clan competitiveness and not personal competitiveness until all the bases (or possible bases) are 3 starred. Your first attack is not based on your personal preference or trying out new things. After clean-up is done, your second attack can be used to grab loot, try new attacks, or prove to us how awesome you are.

Unrealistic Claims
Sometimes players overestimate their abilities, or underestimate them. If you feel like a player should look at different bases, discuss it with them in chat. We're all reasonable and awesome people, I'm sure they'll understand.

Happy War!

Practice Days!!!

Something I particularly love about this clan is our willingness to design new bases and challenge each other so we get better. When you want to practice a new attack strategy, let us know. Members who are close to th level and strength will design layouts and let you challenge them. This will give a great chance to test your skills, not waste a ton of troops doing it, and get feedback from everyone else!

In designing a challenge day base, you don't need to change your main base. You can choose any empty layout slot. Simply click replace layout on the left, and you should see this instead:

From that point, you can choose any base you want, and it will have the cc troops that are in your current clan castle. None of the troops are wasted, so you can practice as often as you want to!

Other key factors with practice days:

  1. Please keep general etiquette in mind
  2. If someone ask for a base layout level, you're active and are within .5 townhall lvls from them, make a base! Use a common data base layout (such as this one: Layouts ) if need be, but help them out.
  3. Also, do not take any advice personally. Clan members want you to get better, they're not there to dismiss your progress. If you are struggling with an attack, or can't understand the advice, ask for clarity! They may forward you to a video that better explains it, or maybe other members will chime in too. Either way, we won't leave you hanging.

When we're likely to hold them:

  1. After wars if we notice members are struggling with their attacks
  2. When members request them (we suggest they do at new townhall levels)
  3. When people spontaneously start challenging each other

How will I know if one is schedule I should attend

  • Like with war memos, we'll send out a clan chat message if any of the co-leaders are hosting one. The memo should include what skills or townhall levels we're focusing on for the day.
